Digital Modernization: Actionable Strategic Roadmap

A century-old national insurance company established a strategic objective to accelerate innovation and modernization through strategic investments in people, processes, and technology. They desired a clear understanding of the current state and a technology roadmap for the future.

The client had initially sought to hire a systems architect to better invest in the public cloud. After discussing key objectives and long-term vision, the client selected Trility as their partner for a 90-day discovery to gain clarity on making impactful, prioritized investments and generate a prioritized executable strategy.

Trility conducted interviews with 26 business and IT stakeholders, reviewed 85-plus documents, and participated in business application and systems demonstrations. 

Using the findings and factoring potential impacts, dependencies, and constraints, the team developed and delivered detailed Observations and Recommendations that included a strategic IT plan and an Actionable Strategic Roadmap.

The roadmap supports the client's effort to make high-impact investments and changes to IT systems and infrastructure that address critical risks and build a foundation for modernization and innovation.

The client gained valuable insight into the current state and the ability to anticipate next steps with downstream impacts, including:

• Increasing clarity for company vision and making it actionable.

• Implementing document management and workflow, customer and partner portals, and an End-to-End Policy Management System.
